Jim was my brother in law, and although my sister Vikki preceeded him in death, I remained close with Jim. Prior to his moving to the lake at Balmorrhea, I remember his sitting in his recliner listening to the police scanner. He would sometimes cook food for anyone who wanted to eat. Jim's children, grandchildren, and great grand child always felt loved when around him. He was a also a friend to each one of them, sometimes taking one for a coke in his Geo Tracker, or meeting them at a restaurant for a meal. I think he was the most popular person I've ever known. Jim had so many friends from all over including McCamey, Rankin, Pecos, Balmorrhea, Box Canyon, and others. Jim will be greatly missed by me and many others.
