I did not know her personally but I felt I did. My granddaughters spoke highly of their great grandmother. I send my condolences to the family at this time of sorrow.

Dearest Lydia, Reuben, Mary, Elva and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your momma, ‘Aya’ as my baby brother endearingly called her. I admired and respected Aya, as well as my mother; they were young widows who raised their children with love and no assistance. I love y’all. May you have peace knowing that according to 2 Corinthians 5:8 to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. God bless you.
